Successful Grads “Star” in New Nassau Community College Campaign

SMITHTOWN, N.Y., July 2010 – SMM has launched a new advertising campaign on behalf of their client, Nassau Community College, that features young graduates, in their 20s and early 30s, who attribute much of their career success to the start they received at Nassau. While all went on to earn four-year degrees elsewhere, they cite Nassau’s mentoring atmosphere and focus on preparing students to go further as instrumental to their achievements.

The new campaign is built around the theme, “I went to Nassau first,” and includes television, radio, print, online, mall, and theatre advertising. It replaces a two-year-old campaign, also by SMM, that targeted Millennials and portrayed Nassau as an exciting place to learn and enjoy the full “college experience" without leaving home. The new campaign recognizes the realities of the current economy and concentrates on building a career with an affordable education. It targets adult and returning students as well as recent high school graduates.
